Capitol-Feed is an independent mobile application developed and operated by JackCo LLC. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any government entity. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
What We Collect
When you create an account and use Capitol-Feed, we collect the following information:
Account Information
Name
Email address
Account creation date
Email communication preferences (opt-in status)
Subscription status (free or Pro)
In-App ActivityBills you choose to track (your user ID, the bill, and the date tracked)
Votes you cast on bills (your user ID, the bill, your vote and the date)
Number of AI summaries you have viewed (aggregate count only, not individual summaries)
Number of bills you are currently tracking and the bill itself
AI summary feedback when flagging a summary as inaccurate (your user ID, the bill, and the date reported)
How We Use Your DataWe use this information solely to operate and improve Capitol-Feed:To create and manage your account
To sync your tracked bills and preferences across sessions
To power the activity feed, surfacing bills with the highest engagement at the top
To enforce free tier limits and manage Pro subscriptions
To identify and correct inaccurate AI summaries when flagged
To send you emails if you have opted in to communications
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not use your data for political profiling or targeting of any kind.
Data Storage and Retention
Your data is stored securely using Supabase. We retain your data for as long as your account remains active. You may delete your account at any time directly within the app, or by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed from our systems.
Third-Party Services
Capitol-Feed relies on the following third-party services to operate:LegiScan - legislative data sourcing - https://legiscan.com/privacy

Apple App Store / Google Play - subscription and payment processing
Each of these services operates under its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
Children's Privacy
Capitol-Feed is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us at [email protected] and we will promptly remove the account.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Capitol-Feed after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Capitol-Feed, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application.
2. About Capitol-Feed
Capitol-Feed is an independent mobile application developed and operated by JackCo LLC. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to any federal, state, or local government entity. Capitol-Feed is a private product intended to make publicly available legislative information more accessible.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Capitol-Feed. By using the application, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
4. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. You may delete your account at any time directly within the app.
5. Free and Pro Tiers
Capitol-Feed offers a free tier and a paid Pro tier. Pro subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their respective billing terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled prior to the renewal date. Refund requests are handled in accordance with the policies of Apple or Google, as applicable.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:Use Capitol-Feed for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the app or its underlying infrastructure
Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the app or its servers
Impersonate any person, entity, or government body
Scrape, copy, harvest, or redistribute any data or content from the app without prior written permission from JackCo LLC
7. Legislative DataLegislative data within Capitol-Feed is sourced through LegiScan, a third-party data provider, and is derived from publicly available government records. While we strive to display information as quickly as possible, data updates may be delayed by up to 48 hours from the time of official publication. Capitol-Feed makes no warranty regarding the completeness, timeliness, or accuracy of legislative data. For matters of legal or official importance, always verify information directly with official government sources such as congress.gov.
8. AI Summaries
AI-generated bill summaries are provided for informational convenience only and may contain errors or omissions. They do not constitute legal advice or official legislative interpretation. JackCo LLC makes no guarantee of accuracy with respect to AI-generated content. If you believe a summary is inaccurate, please use the in-app flag feature to report it and we will review it promptly.
9. Bill Voting and Activity Feed
Capitol-Feed allows users to cast votes on bills (thumbs up, thumbs down, or neutral) to help surface high-activity legislation within the app. These votes are used solely for the purpose of ranking content within Capitol-Feed. They are not transmitted to, recorded by, or associated with any government body, legislative process, or official record of any kind.
10. Nonpartisanship
Capitol-Feed is strictly nonpartisan. We do not editorialize, advocate for, or oppose any political party, candidate, ideology, or piece of legislation. The ranking and display of bills within the app is based solely on user activity and has no editorial or political basis.
11. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time within the app. JackCo LLC reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service, without prior notice. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
Capitol-Feed is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. JackCo LLC does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of inaccuracies.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, JackCo LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use Capitol-Feed, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
14. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Capitol-Feed following the posting of updated terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
15. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
